These terms govern your use of Papa, an iOS app built by Cem Sakarya, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands ("we," "us," "our"). By installing or using Papa, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Papa on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Don't use Papa for anything illegal, to harass anyone, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the app. Don't attempt to circumvent our subscription or security measures.
Papa offers a subscription called Papa Pro, available as either a monthly or an annual plan. Prices are displayed inside the app in your local currency and are billed through your Apple ID.
Every week's content, checklist, and tip is written and reviewed with care. Still, pregnancy, birth, and parenthood are highly individual, and healthcare systems and regulations differ and change. We cannot guarantee that every piece of information is complete, up-to-date, or correct for your specific situation. Local, country-specific content (e.g. Dutch kraamzorg, UK NHS, French Sécurité Sociale) is based on publicly available information at the time of writing and may not reflect current policy.
Content in Papa — including developmental milestones, symptom descriptions, warning signs, and support tips — is for general information and educational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional with any questions about pregnancy, labour, postpartum recovery, or your baby's health. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK).
All content, design, code, and branding in Papa — including illustrations, copy, and the weekly guidance — is owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, redistribute, or use any part of the app's content commercially without written permission.
Papa uses a small number of third-party services (listed in our Privacy Policy) to handle subscriptions and translations. These services have their own terms and privacy policies which you should review.
Papa is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of content, or uninterrupted service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — Papa. This includes loss of data, loss of profits, or any damages resulting from reliance on content in the app.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You can stop using Papa at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access to Papa if you violate these terms.
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be noted inside the app. Continued use of Papa after the "Last updated" date above means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply.
